We enlisted runners to explore one of the most impressive prehistoric monuments in the world: Stonehenge.
Though there has been endless speculation about its likely purpose and meaning, its possible connections with astronomy and the skies is most compelling. Ancient peoples were said to have constructed the sarsen and bluestone site as a solar temple, using it as a place of worship and astronomical observation. Whatever its true origins may be, it has become significant to the mystically-inclined and countercultures alike, with their heightened states of spiritual awareness and psychedelic exploration thought to mimic the mindset of the ancients.
Our runners trekked through the Henge and its surrounding areas on foot, not in search of any outward spectacle, but to experience the energy of the Stones and observe inner phenomena.
