Jungjin Lee began photographing in the early 1980s while a Ceramics major at Hongik University in Seoul and later earned an M.F.A. in Photography from New York University. Known for her laborious and handcrafted photographic work printed on handmade mulberry paper, Lee creates cross-cultural photographic landscapes which blend techniques and materials from Eastern and Western traditions of both painting and photography. "As a photographer," writes Lee, "I am primarily concerned with the unconscious, the unknown, and the invisible."

Our Cosmetic™ fabric is woven with SeaCell™, which is produced from eco-friendly seaweed. With a high level of antioxidants which protect the skin against harmful free radicals, the fabric helps repair damage to our skin cells. The garment is soft and supple against the skin and the nutrients in seaweed are retained in the SeaCell™ fiber—including iron, calcium, magnesium and Vitamin E. The body moisture that results from trips of all intensities promote the transfer of these nutrients when the skin comes into contact with the fabric and the structure of the fiber encourages the exchange as well.

Organic cotton blended with SeaCell™ by Pyratex. SeaCell™ was developed by Pyratex in response to the increasingly harmful impacts of our environment. SeaCell™ is a fiber made from renewable resources.
To create SeaCell™, seaweed is washed, dried, carefully ground and incorporated into the cellulose fiber, from which textiles for a wide variety of applications are made. The fiber is produced exclusively from sustainable raw materials – wood and seaweed – using methods that save both energy and resources. It is completely biodegradable.
Harvesting of the seaweed is a gentle, selective and, most importantly, sustainable process. It removes only the part of the seaweed that is able to regenerate. The seaweed is entirely untreated and all its ecological value is retained.
Its high level of antioxidants protects the skin against harmful free radicals, which damage our skin cells. The natural moisture level of the skin enables an active exchange of those beneficial substances between the fiber and the skin, providing a noticeable sense of wellbeing.
