From Olympic trials to the trails of Auburn, Matt has displayed an incredible versatility and a truly impressive depth of running talent. His top end speed is only matched by his quick wit, and his constant and easy going smile hides the true competitor waiting beneath the temperate surface. Stepping up to the start line of OCC he has no set expectations. OCC will be his longest race, and it will be the one with the most vertical gain to top it off. As he excitedly awaits to step up to this new challenge, he knows that anything is possible and the only thing he can do is to run his best effort.

Don’t call it a comeback. A seasoned name in American ultrarunning, Cat is no stranger to the journey she’s about to embark on. This year has been a proving ground, not just as an athlete, but as a person. After recovering from hip surgery, she’s been on a tear, most recently placing 2nd at the MIUT 85k. With each race, Cat has been reclaiming her edge, proving to everyone that the best is yet to come. She knows there’s something special within her, and at CCC, she’s focused on one thing: executing a smart race and leaving it all out on the course.

Since his CCC debut last year, Stian has had one mission: come back stronger and prove something to himself. Every day, every training session, has been directed at this goal. His recent win at the Eiger Trail 35 is proof that the work has sharpened his mountain running to a fine edge. But for Stian, it’s not just about results, it’s also admittedly about returning to the community, reconnecting with the energy of this place, and adding to the memories that fuel his love for this sport.

Mike enters UTMB with nothing to prove except to himself. Fresh off a win at the Tushar Mountains 100k, he’s shown that his mountain legs are more than ready. Mike has long said his greatest strength is his ability to suffer, but this year, that grit is balanced by consistent training, a string of wins, and the deep joy that comes from being a father. He’s not chasing anything external. He’s chasing the experience, the effort, and the quiet fulfillment of meeting his own high standard.
