Matt brought his 2:15 marathon pace to this storied 50K course with long downhills that don’t forgive. After early controlled miles, a hamstring seized. From there, the switch flipped to survival mode. Cramps. Dry heaves. He clawed forward any way he could.
It won’t headline the results sheet. But it stands as one of the hardest fights of his running life.
